Unintended Political Consequences Of Childish Name Calling

Unintended Political Consequences Of Childish Name CallingI have taken notice of the going along with the crowd inclinations of my fellow American citizen. Years ago, they were pushing the loser branding of liberals by showcasing conservative politicians that were holding a L shaped hand signal or sign against their foreheads like some secret hateful Masonic gesture. This added insult to injury to the progressive or true liberal movements. It made the whole grouping look less than effective, attractive and almost stupid in kind.

The Republican Party and especially the think tanks of the oligarchs are great at this type of behavior – a bully or common thug representation or opinion of mentality. These evil sentiments plague our political landscape and scar as well as insult our intelligence, by trying to get us to disregard those who deserve and have earned our mutual respect.

Because of the continual actions of lesser intentioned humans, the Democratic Party has been targeted as weak and unable to understand how to throw a punch. The reason for this misapprehension is because historically the Democratic Party has stood on issues and on the good legislation that they propose. The Republican Party in contrast stands for nothing but unequivocally allegiance to the oligarchs who bought their souls.

In the state of Illinois where I live, I sometimes hear of people calling our governor JB Pritzker “Fred Flintstone” and sometimes people make fun of his weight. But I remember when Rauner was Governor of Illinois and our bond rating dropped three times while he was hell bent on destroying unions. I’ll take a chubby Governor with a good heart and track record any day before a skinny politician who will destroy the wages and compensation of the common person for his own financial and political gain! It’s the same tactics where President Biden has been blamed for the rapid inflation that the oligarchs have caused by price gouging during the pandemic.

How much does the common American have to lose until we start to pay attention and vote according to our mutual prosperity and future? May we all make better decisions not only for our pocketbooks but for the concerns of all! These bullies should be shunned, ignored and ostracized, for their aggressive behavior and opinions. What has happened to our country? Have we become infected by the destructive actions and intentions of the oligarchs? Are we really going to turn on each other and especially the marginalized or the underdog?

I have a better memory of the average citizen in The United States and our collective actions. Let’s take note of the cunning sentiments of the greedy oligarchs and their depraved plans and flunky politicians. We, the average American citizen, are better than their worst psychological warfare or game. Damn their efforts for trying to persuade us to participate with them on their pilgrimage to the murky abyss of unfair judgment and accusation. Let our solidarity, concern and equality shine a light in the minds and hearts of all for a proper representation of human action and will, to be admired. Their tactics arouse our lesser angels for the profit of the violent at the expense of the marginalized! Let love conquer all malice and let’s embrace each other for our mutual benefit.

About Jack Jones

Jack Jones writes for Democracy Chronicles from Chicago’s south suburbs where he grew up. He is a union electrician Local 134, certified minister from Berean University, AYSO board member and coach, basketball coach, Cub Scout leader, husband, father and social participant. Jack considers himself a gourmet junk food chef, political writer, musician and likes to contribute to the world around him. A former deacon and chaplain at Cook County Jail in Chicago, he feels that our out-of-control corporate, religious and political environment is to blame for many of the problems in the world today. Jack believes we need to get money out of politics and that the church should take care of people instead of trying to get hypocrites elected to public office.
