AMERICANS MUST BREAK THEIR BAD HABITS. It only takes a little bit of effort everyday to turn things around for the better of us ALL.
The point I want to drive home here is that money and capitalism know NO LIMITS. Our beautiful planet with limited resources that need replenishing and care to be maintained is up against the addiction and lust for never ending fake money and power, things like compassion, caring, nurturing and peace don’t stand a chance. They are being slowly and gradually done away with without most people even realizing it’s happening.
Like getting more overweight, having a heart attack or getting a divorce, all these events which seem to happen all of a sudden, in reality, have been accruing ALL ALONG.
I always wonder why people admire the so-called “rich” instead of shaming them when it’s perfectly evident that what they have is not satisfying them. Why would people seek that out? I KNOW! Because those who think the “rich” have something to be admired have had their basic level of health depleted BY the VERY people they’re admiring and are unable to make good judgements. It’s a form of Altered Mental Status most associated with going into shock or hypothermia. It’s a clear vicious cycle.
The system we have can never satisfy corporations anyway, the end will What many people fail to realize is that what is happening to animals all over the world for fur and meat is happening to people also and will eventually happen to them.
I don’t expect this post to get many views. But, because I LOVE animals and exposing the horror is what’s needed to stop it.
While filming for the Black Friday Tour of Shame at Macy’s where Black Friday protesters marched through encouraging shoppers to hit the corporations where it hurts, in their wallets, to challenge the corporate state, a large group of Animal Rights activists chanted things like “Compassion is Fashion” and held signs reading “SANTA SAYS DON’T BUY FUR” and graphic pictures and videos of the torture that animals go through to become fur coats.
I’m aware the topic is boring to most people. It’s been around for so long it’s become a moot point. Nevertheless, everyday thousands of animals, even dogs and cats, are skinned alive for their fur and meat.
Caring Activists Against Fur works with the aim of creating awareness of a very sensitive, yet often unacknowledged, issue: the fur trade industry disregards everything but profit.
Innocent furry animals are slaughtered senselessly, often by people who showcase complete disregard and lack of respect for an animal’s life. Unfortunately, these creatures do not have a voice of their own and cannot speak to defend their right. This is why Caring Activists Against Fur works to educate, engage and spread the word about the horrors of the fur trade.
The battle against the fur industry still rages on!
- In 2001, U.S. retailers reported fur sales of $1.53 billion compared to ten years ago when the market reported $1.0 billion in sales.
- New York remains the number 1 city in terms of fur sales. (Fur Information Council website)
