A great new article in the New Yorker by Jonathan Chait is rightly titled, “Trump Wants to Ban Flipping Because He Is Almost Literally a Mob Boss“. Yes, much better if your toadies all stay in line, right Mr. Trump?
I cannot believe a sitting president is coming out against people in criminal organizations turning against their crime bosses to serve the cause of justice.
Michael Cohen was was a great guy for President Trump for 12 years, working for him. Suddenly he is a villain.
Michael Cohen is surely betraying Trump, I am sure in Trump’s mind he was a great guy while he was helping Trump get away with all kinds of stuff.
Now is literally saying, “If you are a criminal, stay a criminal, because we wouldn’t want your help to try to stop crime.”
So all consuming is his ego and need to protect himself, and run from his wrong doing, that he would alter our laws regardless of the consequences.
This is so blatant and in the open, it boggles the mind to those of us not caught under his spell.
Mr. Trump has successfully made our nation into a surreality TV episode.
Yet the cult of personality continues, and his supporters, so thoroughly bamboozled, and who have doubled and tripled down on his presidency will need find incredible amounts of courage, integrity, and will power to break free of his bonds, and admit they have been conned and suckered as patsies of this man.
