Democracy Now! on 28 August revisited the contentious Chicago Democratic National Convention of 1968.
Hosts Amy Goodman and Juan González recapitulated the trend of events with Bobby Seale, chairman of the Black Panther Party. He became part of Chicago 8 after his talks during demonstrations followed by his arrest.
Seale gives a description of how he was ordered to be gagged and bound to his chair by the judge after which he was sentenced to 48 months in prison. All charges were later on cleared.
Here is a transcript of the interview and a video of about 20 minutes.
