The latest news on this front comes from a really interesting article at Ballot Access News written by the widely-respected election expert and advocate for third party/independent ballot access, Richard Winger.

Winger states that “California SB 288 would allow non-citizens to run for County Central Committee in the Democratic Party, and also the Peace & Freedom Party. The bill has been amended several times. When it passed the State Senate in May, it was not even an election law bill“.
