A step forward in the push to expand early voting in Connecticut. The Government Administration and Elections Committee advanced a proposal on Tuesday that would amend the state constitution to allow early voting and no-excuse absentee voting.

It would allow anyone to vote by absentee ballot without needing an excuse and it would provide at least three days of in-person voting prior to election day.
