According to a new NPR/Marist poll, a rising number of American voters do not believe that elections are fair. The two outstanding figures from the poll:
- 40% think American elections aren’t fair
- 33% think a foreign country is likely to change the midterm vote count
Voters expressed they consider that most times the choices of voters are not considered. Many have lost hope in the midterm elections completely on the basis that counting will not be done accurately. According to the poll, non-white voters, women, men, and Democrats are all uncertain about the fairness of elections as compared to the Republicans who consider that elections are always fair. The results are based on a survey of 949 adults.
