New Jersey legislators have adopted a bill that would allow early voting at polling places, a proposal opposed by Republicans and officials in Warren and Hunterdon counties. The measure was adopted by a 46-31 vote today in the Assembly.

TRENTON — It’s now up to Gov. Chris Christie to decide if New Jersey residents should be able to cast their ballots at a polling place beginning 15 days before the Election Day. The Assembly today passed the early voting bill (S2364) by a vote of 46 to 31, sending it to the governor’s desk.
