TRENTON — Two independent candidates for governor said Thursday that the state Democratic Party tried to knock them off the ballot this week. Kenneth Kaplan, the Libertarian Party candidate, and Willie Araujo, an independent who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination this year, both survived.
