On October 11th, the charity Nonprofit VOTE held a webinar discussion on approaches to get out voters, messages that encourage turnout and how organizations can make a difference in mobilizing the community. The seminar concentrated on how citizens can be enthused, mobilized and also what can be done to reach the community you serve and ensure they partake in voting.
The video was created in line with the upcoming midterm elections in November. The organizer took it upon himself to give out some campaign tactics on how to get out the vote. Tactics discussed included door-door campaign, phone banking and many others. Speakers in this seminar included Nonprofit VOTE’s Partnership Coordinator Lamont Terrell and Ohio Votes Coordinator at Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio Maria Bruno.
The charity Nonprofit VOTE was founded in 2005 and “partners with the America’s nonprofit to make sure that the people they serve are aided to participate in voting”. The video lasted for about an hour. Take a look:
