The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law released its monthly review of ongoing redistricting court cases with new highlights. The report was put together by the Brennan Center’s experts Michael Li, Thomas Wolf, and Alexis Farmer. For beginners:
In May, the Supreme Court ruled two North Carolina congressional districts were racial gerrymanders. Hot on the heels of those rulings, the Court is expected to decide whether it will hear two partisan gerrymandering cases in Wisconsin and North Carolina by the end of June, while several other major redistricting cases are gearing up for summer trials.
