Longtime incumbents who are running for Cherokee Nation tribal council are eligible to run, the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court ruled Monday. District 4’s Don Garvin and District 5’s David Thornton Sr. were challenged by opponents who said both men have far exceeded the Constitution.
