More than two thirds of voters in a new poll say they support the idea of voting exclusively by mail in the November election as states ramp up vote-by-mail efforts amid the pandemic.
The Hill-HarrisX poll released Wednesday found that 68 percent of voters support the idea of voting exclusively by mail in the fall, up 1 percentage point from an April poll.
While views among voters overall stayed relatively consistent from the poll earlier this year, the latest survey suggested that views among Democrats and Republicans may be hardening.
Support among Republicans has ticked down 3 points, to 48 percent, compared to the April poll, while support among Democrats has increased 2 points to 85 percent.
