‘It kills me’ not to be president: Romney
AFP – Defeated Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has said it “kills” him to be just another spectator rather than US president as political gridlock paralyzes Washington. “It kills me not to be there, not to be in the White House doing what needs to be done,” Romney told Fox News in an interview

Far from any corporate boardroom or strike-plagued factory, workers from Indiana met face-to-face yesterday with Republican US Senate nominee Mitt Romney, on the edge of an East Boston wetland. Romney was there waiting to march in the annual Columbus Day parade when the strikers from an Ampad plant in Marion, Ind., who have been dogging his campaign for days, challenged him to to meet with them “one-on-one” — without any consultants or labor officials accompanying either side.
Ampad is principally owned by Bain Capital, the venture capital firm Romney ran before taking a leave of absence to run against Sen. Edward Kennedy.
Ann Romney says that she blames the media for her husband’s loss in the 2012 presidential election because the “universally felt opinion” is that reporters wanted President Barack Obama to be re-elected. “I’m happy to blame the media,” Ann Romney told Fox News host Chris Wallace in an interview.
