The Brennan Center’s new Student Voting Guide will help first time voters get the information they need for elections
From the Brennan Center:
No matter your political viewpoint, it is always important to vote, and that is certainly true in 2016, with major elections at all levels. To help make sure people know how the voting process works and what they need to do in order to cast a ballot in their state, the Brennan Center has created this Student Voting Guide. The Guide offers information relevant to young people who may be voting for the first time – or any voter trying to make it to the polls.
The below interactive map offers information on registration procedures and deadlines, residency rules, identification requirements, absentee voting, and more. Specific questions about individual circumstances are best directed to state and local election officials – every state guide below includes a link to that state’s election agency.
This election year, you will also see election information and reminders from the Brennan Center on social media. Follow us on Twitter,Facebook, and Instagram.
