A new report from the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public looks at how the “big lie” about a stolen election led to the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

The report states the primary “repeat spreaders” of false and misleading narratives were verified blue check accounts belonging to partisan media outlets, social media influencers, and political figures, including President Trump and his family.
