The Supreme Court on Monday denied President Trump‘s request to fast-track consideration of several lawsuits challenging the election results in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and rebuffed similar suits brought by pro-Trump attorneys.
The court announced its decision in an unsigned order that did not disclose the justices’ voting breakdown or rationale, which is how the Supreme Court typically handles denials of such requests.
The move all but guarantees the justices will not take up the cases prior to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, and represents a final nail in the coffin in Trump’s voluminous and failed post-election legal effort.
