Nigeria deserves a prominent seat wherever the most consequential issues are discussed, the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has said, adding that his country was ready to partner with Nigeria differently from the exploitative tendencies of the past.
Mr Blinken also urged West African countries to shun authoritarianism and ensure the promotion of democratic ethos in their countries.
Mr Blinken said these Friday in a speech to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), at its headquarters in Abuja.
