Getting ready for the event to begin, the panel take their seats. From left to right, Green Party candidate in Brooklyn, Jabari Brisport, former Presidential Candidate Jill Stein and investigative journalist Greg Palast who’s documentary film The Best Democracy Money Can Buy showed how the Koch Brothers are funding something called Crosscheck which is controlled by a Trump henchman, Kris Kobach, Kansas Secretary of State who claims his computer program has identified 7.2 million people in 29 states who may have voted twice in the same election–a felony crime. Except those who Kris Kobach says have voted twice don’t have the same names. They have common names and common lasts names with different middles names and yet, get categorized as being the Same person just by a postcard being sent out to the voter.

Last night at 7pm at Park Slope United Methodist Church at 410 Sixth Ave (at 8 St) in Brooklyn was “Voting Justice Now! The 2016 Recount and Electoral Reform – Where we go from here” a forum featuring independent journalist Greg Palast and 2016 Green Party Presidential Candidate Dr. Jill Stein and also with Jabari Brisport, who is running for Local Green Party office.

From an Electoral College built to preserve slavery to broken voting machines foisted on low-income communities of color, the way we count and handle our votes perpetuates racism and oppression. Hear from the front lines of the 2016 presidential recount about how this “Electoral Jim Crow” makes black votes more likely to go uncounted, how this spoiled system scares people into voting their fears instead of their values, and what we can do about it.

When Donald Trump said, “This election is rigged”— he should know. His buddies rigged it.

Rolling Stone investigative reporter Greg Palast busted Jeb Bush for stealing the 2000 election by purging Black voters from Florida’s electoral rolls. Now Palast is back to take a deep dive into the Republicans’ dark operation, Crosscheck, the secret purge list that helped steal the 2016 Election.

Crosscheck is controlled by a Trump henchman, Kris Kobach, Kansas Secretary of State who claims his computer program has identified 7.2 million people in 29 states who may have voted twice in the same election–a felony crime. The catch? Most of these “suspects” are minorities—in other words, mainly Democratic voters. Yet the lists and the evidence remain “confidential”.

Palast and his investigative side-kick Badpenny do what it takes to get their hands on the data, analyze it and go find some of these 7.2 million Americans tagged “suspects” and “potential duplicate voters”.

They hunt down and confront Kobach with the evidence of his “lynching by laptop.” Then they are off to find the billionaires behind this voting scam. The search takes Palast from Kansas to the Arctic, the Congo, and to a swanky Hamptons dinner party held by Trump’s sugar-daddy, John Paulson, a.k.a. “JP The Foreclosure King.”

Palast and Badpenny stake out top GOP donors, the billionaire known as “The Vulture” and the Koch brothers, whom Palast nails with a damning tape recording.

This real life detective story is told in a film noir style with cartoon animations, secret documents, hidden cameras, and a little help from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit detectives, Ice-T and Richard Belzer, Shailene Woodley, Rosario Dawson, Willie Nelson and Ed Asner, Palast and his associates expose the darkest plans of the uber-rich to steal America’s democracy.

Greg Palast holds up a Michigan paper ballot, “they didn’t want voting machines in Michigan because then some guy in a cave will switch your vote from Stein to Trump”. With the paper ballots you fill in the bubble of your choice candidate like during tests in school. Then the paper ballot is put through a machine that counts the bubbles, or is supposed to. “One thing about these machines, They don’t like Black folk, Palast stated, So, how does a robot know? Where were the 75 k + votes not counted? Almost all of them in Detroit, in Flint. “

During the Thanksgiving holiday weekend Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein launched a crowdfunding campaign in order to fund recounts in three key swing states — Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania – where she claims there is “compelling evidence of voting anomalies.” Prominent computer scientists have already alleged that irregularities in electronic voting indicates that there may have been some foul play. In the space of just eight hours the campaign reached its goal of $2.5 million. On Thursday the campaign upped the goal to $4.5 million, revealing that the initial amount was to fund a recount in Wisconsin only and that the total cost of getting recounts in all three states could reach $7 million. “These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified,” Stein said in a statement. “We deserve elections we can trust.”

Jill also spoke about Standing Rock and that indigenous people need to be consulted in any building that takes place on their land. “We must have that approval process. It can’t be expedited or steamrolled. It’s one of the many ways in which we are under attack right now”.

I call it the Genetic Modification process. Any time Due process, Nature’s process is eliminated or skipped over a situation and people are being GMO’d!

Jill Also spoke about the outcome of the election being the”Opposite of what the polling Before the election showed and polling in the Exit polls show. The U.S. Government, when we’re looking at elections around the world and we see that kind of disconnect between the exit polls and the predictions and the outcome then, we say there’s something funny with that election, THAT ELECTION CAN’T BE TRUSTED”.
