Want to be a part of our Writing Team?

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: Democracy Chronicles is looking for people to join our writing team and submit articles to our website about politics. This is unpaid/volunteer but comes with many benefits. We are especially interested in those who can produce engaging opinion writing on a regular basis. The setup is very easy: you can work from home and send your articles by email to be edited and published by our staff. We are located in New York City but we accept and encourage applicants from anywhere and everywhere. We currently have a core group contributors we believe this project is building towards something big.

WHAT YOU WRITE: The range of subjects our writers cover is varied as you can see by looking at our front page. We encourage all of our writers to write about the subjects they are passionate about, with the general  guideline being that the subject relates to democracy, elections or politics. We especially encourage articles about election reform in the United States as well as elections internationally. How can democracy be made better and perhaps quickly (things don’t look so good right now haha).

WHAT YOU GET: By submitting an original article to Democracy Chronicles you will have the opportunity to get discovered by having your original work published and read by viewers across the globe. Half of our viewers (and writers) are outside the US. We aggressively promote the work of our writing team and are thrilled to include links, social media, and articles related to your own personal projects. Every writer has their own archive of articles that includes their bio and picture.

GAINING EXPERIENCE: Beyond submitting writing regularly we encourage everyone to get as involved with the website as possible. Do you have additional experience that can benefit our website? Social media or outreach experience perhaps? We are looking forward to hearing from you. Please let us know about your interests and experience. This is unpaid/volunteer.
