Democracy Chronicles

What Are They Doing To The American Dream?

American DreamWhat kind of country do we live in when an ex-President openly critiques or criticizes democracy by suggesting that all people should not be allowed to vote? Trump says that Republicans would ‘never’ be elected again if it were easier to vote. Have we become the Fascist States of America? Or The Apartheid States of America? Or maybe just the Conquered Peoples of The Oligarchs?

Whatever are we now? We are not what we have celebrated in the past, or what we have fought for, died for and risked our lives for. The Oligarchs now are brazenly showing their true colors teeth-and-growl by constant obnoxious acts of defiance against fair and free elections and they are saying that there is not a damn thing that we or the world for that matter, can do about it.

Ex-President Donald Trump has always said out loud what most right-wing politicians are saying in their head or are trying to hide from you and me. This strong man approach can’t be tolerated for a minute! Our patience with this man has gone on for far too long! He will only ask for more, push more boundaries, and cause more chaos every time that he does not get his way or what he wants. He’s a dangerous, spoiled, emotional infant who must get his way! It’s just who he is. I wonder if his exhausting personality is the reason for his father, Fred Trump, sending young Donald away to military boarding school as a child. I remember that being kind of a punishment back in the olden days.

I really don’t want to talk about him or even explain what I think he will do next anymore. Any encouragement or press will only inflate his already ginormous self and head. But this may very well be the preview to the opening credits of the looming security state that we are about to inhabit, and that we are turning into.

We already know that we are the most spied upon nation on earth, with more people incarcerated, and the least amount of social assistance of any modern rich country. How can you consider that we are going in the right direction? When the people in power know everything you’ve ever said on a computer, phone or even to another person in private. All the while they go unaccountable.

While the rich criminals go to private clubs, they build more prisons. And we all know the rich aren’t even going to prison anymore – just everyone else. The people are getting tired of the Oligarchs and the despicable way that they are abusing us. The Oligarchs are getting mad for not getting their way every single time. The thing that the Oligarchs are doing now with our allegiance to our country is transferring it from us to them.

Trump is the final sign that these tyrannical offenders are demanding absolute power, or there will be hell to pay! They seek to destroy our free press. They are abetting the ever-increasing cost of college, so you will have to come from money to pay for education. They, through fear of imprisonment, have obliterated the potential actions of the needed whistle blowers. They are making it financially impossible for an average citizen to run for high office without completely selling out to them. They are presently destroying our democracy by limiting who can vote.

So why am I bothering to say all these obvious things? It is because I’m beside myself and I’m trying to get some of us to wake up and do something about it! Wake up to the fact that these inhumane gluttonous pigs are taking from you to add to their pile of wealth. Wake up to the fact that they are trying to take away options from your future so that your only play is doing their exact will. Wake up to the fact that things can get worse!

Trump was bad in my opinion, but another, more intelligent, and calculating individual could one day inherit these evil precedents and power structures and we will be the object of that wrath. Not that Trump isn’t capable of terrible things – he is. Thank God that America has spoken and he was voted out! I think it is pissing off the rich that we pushed their goon out of office. It’s also another reason why the Republican Party and Trump are doing all they can to stop honest elections, that I can tell. They are mad and they are telling us that they will get their way. So, the job at hand is to slow this crazy train down, until we regain the lost democracy that once was the United States of America and give the people a life worth living and sacrificing for!
