Anti-Muslims, You’re as Bad as the Extremists

Anti-Muslims

The events of the attack in Manchester are beyond horrific. The actions of a deluded and crazy man have torn apart families by killing their loved ones. What happened on Monday night will never be forgotten and the lives and memories of those that perished will always be remembered.

The reaction and acts of kindness that followed in the wake of the attack have been stunning and are a wonderful example of the true British spirit. Taxi drivers were giving free rides to people so they could get home, or to hospital or wherever they needed to go. Local people were offering rooms in their homes to people for them to stay in if they couldn’t get home. It was a truly remarkable demonstration of absolute human kindness.

In the aftermath of the attack, we have seen across the whole country a wonderful demonstration of unity and kindness towards one another. Vigils have been taking place all across the country with countless numbers of people paying their respects. Also, respects have been given across the world to those lost in the attack. The Union Jack being put up across the United Arab Emirates’s Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, shows the levels of respect being given all across the world.

What needs to happen now in the UK is we all need to unite and come together and show that as British people an act of a crazy man will not break our society. In order to do that, people must not start tainting all Muslims with the same extremist brush. It is of course ridiculous to suggest that all Muslims are extremist and want to destroy us, but some people do this.

As a society, we all need to resist this behavior and combat it by showing the people that do think in such a way that what they are saying and want is not going to help. The very people that start spurting racist, xenophobic and bigoted comments about Muslims are helping the cause of the extremist Muslims by causing disunity.

Part of what some of these extremists want is for our society to start becoming disunited and for us to start
turning against each other. When that happens you are helping their cause.

Muslims who live in the UK and across the world, are kind, loving, thoughtful, helpful and genuine human beings. Muslims are like anybody else and make wonderful contributions to the societies they live in. It is not an inherently violent religion at all. It is the actions of but a few idiots that ruin the name of Islam. These extreme people who carry out attacks in the name of their faith, are not really Muslims. Once they have acted violently against others because of their religion, they have renounced their faith and they are no longer Muslim.cThey are simply idiots.

This also applies to other religions as well. Extremism is not unique to Islam at all.

Here in Britain we are a caring, loving and peaceful society. Our citizens are good, decent people. It doesn’t matter if you are white, black, Christian, Muslim, Atheist or wherever you are from, we are British. Our society has fantastic level of tolerance and acceptance of those with who we disagree. This is a fantastic country to live in, with as I said, fantastic people living in it.

To all the people that want to label all Muslims as terrorists, I say to you, your bigotry is just as devastating and disruptive as the acts of the extremists and you don’t deserve to live here in Britain and have no place in our society just as much as the extremists.
