Yesterday, for the time since the Citizens United ruling occurred, Super PACs were required to submit financial records for the year of 2011 to the Federal Election Commission.  In other words, the anonymous donors are no longer anonymous.  OpenSecrets.org contains a wealth of information on money and politics (we link to the site on the main page).  The article below, Candidates and Super PACs, from OpenSecrets.org contains some interesting breakdowns of some of the information released yesterday, check it out:

According to their website, the “Center for Responsive Politics is the nation’s premier research group tracking money in U.S. politics and its effect on elections and public policy. Nonpartisan, independent and nonprofit, the organization aims to create a more educated voter, an involved citizenry and a more transparent and responsive government”.
