Democracy Chronicles Kickstarter… Victory!
We won! Thanks to the generous donations of our fans and well-wishers, “The Design of a Broken System” film has succeeded in our Kickstarter fundraising campaign. We reached our target goal of $1,776 today. Our community has spoken up and supported our Kickstarter project. As the Producer of this film and having managed the Democracy Chronicles Kickstarter campaign, I want to thank everyone in our network for all your support!
John Amaruso has led the work on this film as writer and director and deserves thanks for his hard work. Combined with the Cinematography of fellow Long Island native Rob Martin, they have made this possible.
Our Kickstarter donors included a diverse range of people including friends, family, people who found us by searching Kickstarter, people we connected to with our outreach, our network of contact from the film, and also the supporters of Democracy Chronicles. The average pledge amount was $65.78 based on the 27 different backers who chipped in.
A promising future
For some of you, this is the first kickstarter project you have ever backed and we are very encouraged by this. Thank you for supporting the film. Your donations and your help sharing this project have been very much appreciated.
Because we have been getting more support from the wider web than expected, we are pushing on! We will continue towards a stretch goal of $15,000 in order for this film to be produced and distributed to a wide audience. So if you want to help even more, sharing our Kickstarter link to your like-minded friends is still a great way. We find it works best to contact people who are passionate about this issue because we do intend to launch this thing to as many people as possible.
