Film Existir Es Resistir In Cadiz, Spain

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is sailing in a peaceful effort to break the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza and for the ideals of freedom of movement and the right to a decent future. This is another post reporting on my time in Spain volunteering to help on the Freedom Flotilla Coalition to Palestine’s Gaza. Take a look at my first two articles in this series here and here.

While I was in Cadiz, Spain, I attended an event at the Salón de Actos del Rectorado, part of the Universidad de Málaga, where there was a showing of the film Existir Es Resistir. The important “web documentary tackles the reality of the people through some of its protagonists. Stories of resistance on both sides, with a focus on the joint struggle of Israelis and Palestinians against a system of colonization that seeks to normalize the dystopia of Israeli apartheid in the world.” Below, are some photos of the event in Cadiz but you can watch the trailer for the film at the end of the article.

On Tuesday, July 3rd I had just returned to in Cadiz from my time on the Spain to Portugal leg with the Flotilla to Gaza when I met activist Ahmad Jaradat from Hebron, West Bank. He was there at the film’s showing speaking on behalf of the Palestinian people. Watch my interview with Ahmad here:

Giant old Ficus tree near event in Cadiz, Spain.
Here is Ahmad Jaradat speaking at the discussion that followed the film Existir Es Resistir at the event.
Palestinian Hisham Sharabati is here speaking about the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement at the event and the Israeli war criminals who have not been held accountable.
Also speaking was Sami Sockol, a journalist based in Jerusalem.
I also got this photo of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters holding the Palestinian flag onstage at his concert in Rome.

Here, as promised, is a trailer for the film Existir Es Resistir:

Thank you,, Apologies for delayed reply. It’s overwhelming trying to maintain all of this. People usually don’t comment but, thank you. Israel /Palestine transcends race, culture, politics, politics,, it’s basic abuse,, like in any “home”. Nature and health is what unites us ALL,, NO one, no matter who they are or where they are in the world,, how much fake $ they have,, is Immune to ILLNESS and emotional imbalance. No one gets over on health and nature which is why the Sociopaths want to kill it so badly
