Michael Morrill from Keystone Progress spoke to me and the NY Times saying, “we stand for small Democratic values. We’ve never gotten involved in primary and certainly not in Federal elections at any level but, something happened this week that was so beyond the pale that we decide we had to get involved. And that was the outrageous and Unconstitutional bigoted statements by Mr. Trump proposing banning Muslims from immigrating to the United States or entering the United States”. “WE THOUGHT THAT WAS SO UN AMERICAN AND SO DESTRUCTIVE TO OUR NATION AND TO PENNSYLVANIA WE HAD TO SPEAK OUT”. “We put an online petition asking the PA Republican Party to dis invite Donald Trump as keynote speaker. THIS IS THE ONLY PERSON THEY ASKED TO SPEAK. THEY SPECIFICALLY CHOSE THIS MAN OUT OF ALL OF THE REPUBLICANS IN THE NATION TO REPRESENT THEIR VALUES AND THEIR VIEWS”.
