Dozens of people demonstrated in Basra on Sunday as part of wide protests that have been raging for months calling for the provision of services and job opportunities for the unemployed citizens.
Demonstrations took place near the local government building, calling for freezing the work of the provincial council and the governor, for not providing any of the required services to the people of the province.
Protesters said they would continue to demonstrate until job opportunities and better services are provided for people in the province.
