Ready to Impeach

The day that Donald Trump installed Stephen Miller as Senior Advisor for Policy in his administration, we should have been prepared for impeachment. This man Miller is of the type that brings nightmares into reality. I don’t believe in judging a book by its cover, but one peep at this guy, even in a picture, gives me the creeps!

We also have to look at previous Attorney General Jeff Sessions who said that he thought the KKK was alright until he found out that “many of them smoked pot”. Or even one look at Steve Bannon, former Chief Strategist in the Trump Administration, was bad enough as the former Executive Chairman of Breitbart News (hopefully I don’t have to explain why this is bad). We should have know something was very, very wrong!

No President should have the right to install these depraved animals to any office or council without immediate removal from office by impeachment. It’s not when they will do something wrong, they have already done so and that’s all they do! They are not just greedy self-indulgent businessmen, they are unredeemable specters of hell itself! We as a country can’t flirt with this kind of evil. We have read about it, heard about it, and talked about it but hiring these men was it – a justification for impeachment!

Who do you think floated the idea of separating refugee children from their parents as a deterrent, to keep persecuted refugees from coming to our border? Stephen Miller! And who used the Bible to defend this heinous policy? Attorney General Jeff Beauregard Sessions of course! He said the punishment for children was due to a failure “to obey the laws of the government”. But obedience isn’t the issue here. Intentional cruelty and unusual punishment is!

But if you want to quote scripture, it was Jesus himself who said: “it would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” How is Jeff going to explain his actions to his God?

The Trump Presidency has been to American ideals like the shock and awe bombing used to begin our invasion into Iraq. We have a hard time putting our minds around it, understanding it, because most people are not like Donald Trump. Trump has broken every rule, every oath and every promise to his country! The only good thing he’s ever done was to try to help labor through tariffs. To the shame of the Republican but mostly the Democratic Party, Trump has not been ousted yet. I’m ready to impeach, God help us all!

About Jack Jones

Jack Jones writes for Democracy Chronicles from Chicago’s south suburbs where he grew up. He is a union electrician Local 134, certified minister from Berean University, AYSO board member and coach, basketball coach, Cub Scout leader, husband, father and social participant. Jack considers himself a gourmet junk food chef, political writer, musician and likes to contribute to the world around him. Jack believes we need to get money out of politics and that the church should take care of people instead of trying to get hypocrites elected to public office.
