The Second Debate: Hillary Clinton as the Closer

Second Debate: Hillary Clinton

There is no doubt that both presidential candidates share a single goal: to celebrate the laws of this nation and to officiate what needs to be done to make the United States of America both respectful and deserving of being the richest country in the world. With the level of debate, there seems to be a free for all rather than an oasis of mutual compliments and work toward solving the issues at hand.

Both presidential candidates have both mastered their ways around the issues. Although, someone who may be undecided will be swaying more to the democrat side after both debates. Since then, the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, has been beaten.

Both candidates know that their campaigns are getting personal. They did not even shake hands at the very beginning. Nevertheless, both are fighting hard and had moments that stood out.

There was an amazing performance by Hillary Clinton. She wasn’t shaken by Donald Trump and she stood her ground bravely. A big plus was both presidential debate moderators bringing up the damage of Trump’s speech in the recently released ‘locker room’ video. Hillary Clinton knew that prodding and pushing about her personal email leaks and everything else by Trump was twisted and wrong. He even called Clinton a liar. But Clinton not only pointed out that everything Trump said was false, she expanded on each of his mistakes.

This is how ugly it had gotten. However, it is a very interesting debate to watch, one for the books. The way that Trump dismissed his own running mate’s Syria policy was very hard to hear. Everyone that watched seemed to know that Trump’s infamous speech wasn’t locker room banter but rather an insult to all women. With all these troubles, there is questions whether Trump can roll out a good enough campaign to win. He seems to have his take on the issues but cannot stop criticizing individuals while stomping all over political correctness and people’s feelings.

Trump wants to conquer his bad side but he still represents crudeness. There was even talk over legendary Actor Robert De Niro wanting to punch Trump in the face.

Hillary Clinton knows that she has got these two debates in the bag. Her implications of the danger of Trump’s crudeness and disrespect for women was made with a choice of words that was mild but effective. She brought Trump down with her inclusion of ex-Miss Universe Alicia Machado and her clashes with Trump. The drastic weight changes which Trump publicly wanted the ex-Miss Universe to go through was terrible and insulting. She was even referred to as ‘Miss Piggy’ and ‘Miss Housekeeping’ by Trump. Hillary did well to use Alicia Machado’s story in the debate and Trump took the bait.

To not lose the debates, Hillary Clinton keeps tall and cool and knows she doesn’t need to go the extra mile but just listen to what the town hall audience has to say and what they ask. We come away with the feeling that the primary reason why Hillary Clinton is running is for the people and she honestly loves this country. This is why she will make an excellent President of the United States of America.
