Don’t Follow the True Believers of Fascism

I believe when the daily paper went out of vogue that the vast majority of Americans lost a level of intelligence. If slighted or politically guided by whatever leanings a publication had, we were usually exposed to the left and right points of view enforced by the Fairness Doctrine and most seekers of truth would find the news came most of the time from the middle of the political spectrum.

This mental exercise of reading, contemplating and thinking at length of content made the average citizen more informed and intelligent. Since that time many Americans have become partisan to their favorite content creators, who most of the time are talking heads who babble their opinion of what they’re selling and leave their viewers with a biased opinion.

Americans today are beginning to question the value of a college education due to cost and return principles, and rightly so, but still their is an answer is this education and intelligence vacuum: just reading a book. At one time philosophy majors could become a CEO because of their ability to think and rationalize as well as debate. You too can pick up on this mindset by acquiring a library card.

I personally like Shakespeers sonnets, or Marcus Aurelius’s book, Meditations. There are great books like the Art of War and Moby Dick. Chris Hedges comes to mind. Or really you can pick up just about any book that covers the subject that you’re after.

Our collective ignorance, thanks to to Silicon Valley’s self proclaimed geniuses, will be responsible for the eventual downfall of western civilization. These ‘geniuses’ ultimately believe our democratic institutions need to be surplanted or exchanged by them and their software. I for one don’t want to give up my say or especially my freedoms to these overtly confident fascists. They don’t understand that community is the life force of democracy and whatever utopia you’re after.

Replacing us or especially our self governance is the answer to our problems cries Peter Thiele and his self assured maniacal cult. This is just the latest version of weirdos that are being led by a messianic savior, but one that is rich, smart and especially raised on the dogmas of the Third Reich.

At this point the plot sounds like a sci-fi thriller but it’s the truth. It is a very small group that’s leading our president’s ambitions into a new world order that few Americans want. This arrogant point of view isn’t new. At one time you had to be a WASP, a male and a land owner to vote in America. I understand the idea of the need for a medical association, for passing the bar exam to practice law, or a licensed plumber or electrician. But despite AI and this group of fascists in charge now, they must not be allowed to replace us or our wishes. This is 1984 happening in real time before our eyes.

The amazing thing is that these people actually believe they have the moral high ground here. True believers if you will. Anyway, I’m not ready to give up my vote for the ambitions of these Silicon Valley self aggrandised geeks any time soon. I would encourage you to keep an eye on them because they are definitely keeping an eye on you.

About Jack Jones

Jack Jones writes for Democracy Chronicles from Chicago’s south suburbs where he grew up. He is a union electrician Local 134, certified minister from Berean University, AYSO board member and coach, basketball coach, Cub Scout leader, husband, father and social participant. Jack considers himself a gourmet junk food chef, political writer, musician and likes to contribute to the world around him. A former deacon and chaplain at Cook County Jail in Chicago, he feels that our out-of-control corporate, religious and political environment is to blame for many of the problems in the world today. Jack believes we need to get money out of politics and that the church should take care of people instead of trying to get hypocrites elected to public office.

Thanks for sounding the alarm Jack. Unlike mainstream media afraid of their own shadow. The technocrats have much more than an eye on us they’re dropping anchors into our souls.

Phil you’ve always have had a way with words and presentation. You can say one word and walk away and people are stunned, and wonder what just happened. Thanx again for commenting, Jack
