Democracy is a system with an expansive potential to be a powerful force in making the world a better place. The democratic principle in any system is to ensure the absence of arbitrary hierarchical distinctions or privileges and there are many places even outside of government where the use of democratic systems can be utilized including in our schools, businesses and even family life. We try to highlight every niche where democracy can make a difference.

Today we are highlighting Democracy Chronicles’ in-depth democracy-themed pages where we strive to cover the latest democracy news in as expansive a way as possible. Take a minute to explore these unique pages and discover how democracy is impacting the world today and how dreamers are conceptualizing the use of new and innovative democratic systems for our future.

World Democracy

Despite the media’s astonishing lack of discussion on the topic, the world is informally polarized into two camps, each representing different forms of government, whether we acknowledge it or not. The division between the two camps marks the very real separation between free people and not, the democracies and the dictatorships.

American Democracy

News about voting, democracy and election reform in the United States including ballot access, campaign finance reform, redistricting, and transparency. Promoting bringing change to our elections by improving how public desires are expressed in our government.

Political Art

These Political Artwork articles reflect the strong relationship between the arts and politics, particularly between various kinds of art and power, occurring across historical epochs and cultures. As they respond to contemporaneous events and politics, the arts take on political as well as social dimensions, becoming themselves a focus of controversy and even a force of political as well as social change. Third Party Central

The two-party political system in America has been maintained through a media blackout and obstructionist laws meant to support only candidates of the Republican and Democratic Parties and hinder any contenders.

Election Technology And Science

This voting technology section highlights the important role technology has played in democratic history and seeks to explore how technology will shape the future of elections. This new era of elections is an area of heavy debate in political circles.
