Without PAC money: The last day to circulate petitions is this Thursday, April 10 and we also need to file our petitions by midnight on April 10.
by Jeff Kurzon, candidate for Congress in New York’s 7th District
The last day to circulate petitions is this Thursday, April 10 and we also need to file our petitions by midnight on April 10. With over 300 volunteers recruited we are a force to be reckoned with and will win the June 24 primary. I need the public’s help to get on the ballot to go to Washington and fight for campaign finance reform and the people of District 7. To witness a petition signature, you must be registered to vote in New York State as a Democrat (or a notary), but if you are not, we can still use your help organizing and all other aspects of the campaign.
I am still the only candidate in the country not taking PAC or lobbyist money so when I get elected I will be representing the needs of the people; not large corporations; not special interests; not lobbyists. The way it should be. And when I wins, other leaders will start to do the same.
Obviously, since I am the only candidate not taking PAC or lobbyist money, it is more of a challenge. Money is power in modern America and I am asking that you share a bit of your power with our effort. With your help, we will get closer to having a government of, for and by the people — one that will address the many serious issues of our time rather than working for the status quo creating laws that are “good for some and bad for all.”
If you are a registered New York Democrat, or if you know one willing to help, please stop by our office any day this week between noon and 9pm to pick up some petitions and help us get some signatures from Democrats in the district. We are at 382 Hamilton Avenue, 2nd floor, Brooklyn, NY 11231 (across the street from the Mobile Station and near the Smith-9th Streets stop on the F/G).
Please share this message too with a good friend and ask that they take a piece of ownership in our campaign to reform Washington.
