Steve Cobb articles

Steve CobbAfter studying engineering at Harvey Mudd College and UCLA, Steve Cobb left sunny SoCal for a formative year in Leningrad, where, huddled with Soviet graduate students, he watched the Berlin Wall fall on the dormitory TV.

He then spent many years in the Former Soviet Union on arms-control projects, and also many years in Germany, involved in IT, project management, and business analysis. He now lives a short walk from the Berlin Wall. As a descendant of Chickasaw Freedmen, he is sometimes found exotic by the locals.

Steve has long been active in the voting-reform movement, ever since an NPR ‘driveway moment’ featuring an interview with voting theorist Donald Saari back around 2000. Steve is the founder of Unsplit the Vote, a swarm-based movement that promotes evaluative voting methods to put an end to vote-splitting.
