Jewish People articles on Democracy Chronicles

Although relatively difficult to define, the Jewish people are a nation and ethnoreligious group originating from the Israelites (or Hebrews) of the Ancient Middle East's Levant. A minority in every country in which they live (except Israel), they have frequently experienced persecution throughout history, resulting in a population that has fluctuated both in numbers and distribution. The anti-Jewish protest began on Sunday in the French capital of Paris in which Palestinians clashed with riot police in support of Palestinians in the Gaza strip. In a pro-Palestinian rally in Berlin on Tuesday, one sign said “Jew cowardly pig, come out and fight”.
