Democracy Chronicles

Jewish People articles on Democracy Chronicles

Although relatively difficult to define, the Jewish people are a nation and ethnoreligious group originating from the Israelites (or Hebrews) of the Ancient Middle East's Levant. A minority in every country in which they live (except Israel), they have frequently experienced persecution throughout history, resulting in a population that has fluctuated both in numbers and distribution. Also see our section on World Democracy and our articles on Israel and the Middle East.
