Jack Jones articles

jack jonesJack Jones writes for Democracy Chronicles from Chicago’s south suburbs where he grew up. He is a union electrician Local 134, certified minister from Berean University, AYSO board member and coach, basketball coach, Cub Scout leader, husband, father and social participant. Jack considers himself a gourmet junk food chef, political writer, musician and likes to contribute to the world around him. A former deacon and chaplain at Cook County Jail in Chicago, he feels that our out-of-control corporate, religious and political environment is to blame for many of the problems in the world today. Jack believes we need to get money out of politics and that the church should take care of people instead of trying to get hypocrites elected to public office.

Foxconn Comes to America

How come hedge fund managers and people who get paid in stocks only pay 20% while everybody else make less money and have to pay almost double that tax percentage? Our tax system is actually very regressive.

The Scots Show The World

Our country is a more miserable place to live in because of greed. We now have corruption at a level where our government and ruling class only want to screw us over and may sell us out to Russia.

The Russian Summit, Reagan, and Trump Economics

The Russian Summit

When Trump went to NATO this week, he was pressuring our allies to go from spending 2% of their GDP on defense to 4%. Take a guess what country will benefit from arms sales? You got it, the USA.

The Trump Baby Balloon is Satire Done Right

July 15, 2018 by Jack Jones 1 Comment

Trump Baby Balloon

The bloated infantile persona in diapers carting a cell phone is perfect. The man has had a pampered life and has always done what he wants regardless of the effect on others. He only cares for his needs.

You Don’t Send a Buffoon to Play Chess in Russia

July 12, 2018 by Jack Jones 2 Comments

Play Chess in Russia

Even before Trump, our allies in NATO have been growing tired of our behavior, like when we trumpeted lies and propaganda to encourage them to join our war in Iraq. Now America has a President that is insulting members of NATO and the G7.

Yellowstone National Park and the Virtue of Being Brown

Virtue of Being Brown

The poor are an important part of the American economic food chain. While they are threatened, scrutinized and hated upon, they are still needed. They are the spenders and consumers helping produce the world’s largest economy.
